Breast implants are put into the bust to increase the beauty of the figure. This is a procedure done with the single purpose of increasing the aesthetic appeal of the female figure.
This procedure is carried out in 60 to 90 minutes. The incision is put in at the side of the bust. The implant is placed between the breast tissue and the muscle wall of the chest. After the implant is placed inside, the incision is stitched up and closed off. The incision is dressed from the outside, to enhance healing of the wound.
Since the implants are placed inside the chest wall, there might be some amount of discomfort, and soreness will have to be managed by the patient. This is why the patient is kept under observation for a few hours after the implants are placed. The anaesthesia then comes down and the patient may feel a little awkward at first, at the sight and feel of the new, heavy bust. This takes some getting used to, but by the end of the first week, the patient would feel normal. Over the course of the next 4-6 weeks, almost all of the patient’s usual activities can be resumed.
